She has been in the industry for 18 years, and has expertise in communications for Pharma and biotech companies, medical education, sales force training, patient focused programmes and digital media. She has been Vice Chair of the PM Society for 2 years and a Committee member since 2007.

Sandy Royden Sandy Royden - Founding Parter, OPEN Health

A Pharmacist by profession, with over 20 years experience within the industry, Sandy has a great grounding in Pharmaceutical marketing at a global, European and UK domestic level.

Sandy worked in development, sales, marketing and communications at Novartis and Sanofi and more recently spent 5 years at Huntsworth Health where she headed up the European team, managing the integrated brand communications, medical communications and market research offerings. With broad experience across the communications mix utilising both traditional and digital media, Sandy's specific area of expertise lies within medical communications

Wayne is Managing Director of Big Pink, one of the largest independent digital healthcare agencies in the UK, specialising in providing digital strategy and e-marketing solutions. He has over 19 years’ experience working in Pharma, with 10 years of ‘client side’ expertise gained with Searle, and Pharmacia/Pfizer. Wayne has been a PM Society committee member for two years.

Paul Concannon Carwyn Jones - Doctors.net.uk

Carwyn is Head of Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing at Doctors.net.uk, the largest and most active network of doctors in the UK. He has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 15 years and held senior roles at Eli Lilly, GSK and Sudler & Hennessey. His experience covers sales, brand management, global strategy and strategic planning. A specialist in digital marketing, he chairs the Eyeforpharma European e-marketing summit and regularly speaks at international conferences on digital engagement with HCPs. At Doctors.net.uk, Carwyn works with clients to ensure that communications solutions from Doctors.net.uk deliver maximum returns and achieve brand and corporate objectives. Outside work, he is a committed Welsh rugby fan!

Neil Smith Neil Smith - Adventis Health (PM Advertising Awards Chairman)

One of the longest serving committee members including a spell of 3 years in the chair, Neil has for the last ten years been responsible for the Society's flagship event, the annual advertising awards. In addition he looks after the design and production of the Society's promotional requirements (eg event mailings, newsletters) and is generally involved in the social side of the organisation. Neil's day job is Director of Communications for Adventis Health, a healthcare communications agency based in Beaconsfield, Bucks.

Vivien Bennet Vivien Bennett - PM Society

Vivien has been Secretary of the PM Society for 20 years. In this time she has enjoyed her role in helping to take the Society from a networking ‘club’ to the vibrant, professional organisation it is today.

She enjoys catching up with members at meetings throughout the year but takes particular pleasure in seeing so many of the Society’s 1400 members at the annual Advertising Awards ceremony in January.

Vivien Bennet Paul Holmes - PM Society

Paul is Business Development Director at the PM Society. His responsibilities cover the commercial aspects of the Society's training, awards and social programmes. Paul will also be helping with the development of member services and encouraging usage of the Society's expanding range of services.

Prior to taking on this role Paul was General Manager of Wiley Pharmafile, publishers of Pharmafocus, Pharmafile and InPharm. His experience at senior management level spans a range of markets, including: publishing, telecoms and direct marketing. He joined the Society in 2002 and held the post of Vice Chair, during which time he launched the Society's popular annual sailing regatta.

Alan Lyes Alan Lyes

As an award winning creative technologist with over 18 years experience, Alan has worked predominantly with the pharmaceutical industry. Following 13 years at TVF Communications, first as the digital lead and later, on the board as the Creative and Technical Director Alan went on to successfully launch his own agency, PH Digital Communications, in early 2010. PH Digital expands on Alan’s digital expertise in the pharmaceutical environment and focuses on delivering creative and development services to agencies in the health and pharmaceutical sectors. With experience in full-life cycle application development, online and social technologies, Alan is an active blogger and maintains hands-on engagement with new and emergent technologies in the digital space.
