Andrew Foreman Andrew Foreman

Andrew Forman has been in the pharmaceutical marketing industry for over 25 years, initially on the client side with Pfizer and GSK and latterly on the agency side with Insight Research Group where he is Marketing & Sales Director. Andrew has been heavily involved in developing and applying digital approaches and deliverables to Insight's market research offerings. Most recent areas include on-line ethnography, digital project deliverables through on-line portal technology and the use of e-village and co-creation communities as part of the research mix.

 
Chris Doyle Chris Doyle

Chris has been the Treasurer of the Society since 2005 and has worked in the industry for nearly 20 years since completing his study of law at the University of Cambridge. He is the owner of a successful consultancy business and lives in Essex where he is a Parent Governor of his beautiful daughter's School.

 
Chris Edmonds Chris Edmonds

Chris is the founder and Managing Director of replay, a specialist healthcare digital media agency. Founded in 2001, replay operates globally producing films, animations and digital productions for pharmaceutical companies, charities and the NHS.

Previously, Chris worked in practice as an Optician with a special interest in special effect contact lenses for film and television. He also co-founded Replay Learning Ltd, the largest dedicated provider of live and digital Continuing Education and Training for Opticians and remains an active non-executive director and shareholder.

Colin has over 15 years' experience in pharmaceutical marketing, market research and e-business, gained with companies such as Boehringer Ingelheim, Xansa, IMS, Taylor-Nelson Sofres, and PharmiWeb Solutions. He has managed a number of successful e-detailing and wider e-marketing projects for clients such as Amgen, AstraZeneca, MSD, Napp, and Lilly, and is widely regarded as an industry opinion leader.

Dave Parsons has over ten years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including Senior Management Sales, Training and Commercial roles within leading pharmaceutical companies. As Operations Director for Compliance Hub, Dave’s work includes working with clients to ensure their digital marketing and social media activities are both compliant and effective. Compliance Hub is a specialist compliance agency working with national and international codes of practice. Dave is currently studying for a Masters Degree in Business Administration.

 
Dominic Marchant Dominic Marchant

Dominic Marchant is Managing Director of DJM Digital Solutions, a London agency delivering digital solutions to clients including Coca Cola, AstraZeneca, Panasonic and GSK. He has written several papers and spoken at/chaired numerous conferences in the field of digital in healthcare. He is a member of the Interactive Media Council and judges in several of the recognised Internet awards programmes.

 
Dr Kamran Abbasi Dr Kamran Abbasi

Kamran is a journalist, editor, and doctor with international, senior management, and board level experience with the British Medical Journal, World Health Organization, Royal Society of Medicine, and OnMedica. He created BMJ Learning and revamped OnMedica’s online learning service.

Kamran is the editor of the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine, a consultant for the Health Foundation and Creston Health, an honorary senior lecturer at Imperial College, a Patron of the South Asian Health Foundation, and a cricket writer.

 
Gavin Tuffey Gavin Tuffey

Gavin Tuffey currently works for GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals within the Global Vaccines Centre of Excellence and holds the position of Senior Manager, Digital Communications Programme. In this role he has global responsibility for the delivery and implementation of Digital Marketing and Communication tactics across the current Vaccine Portfolio and has regional responsibility for Asia Pacific. Gavin has worked for GlaxoSmithKline in various roles since June 1997.

He has been Editor of the Guidelines handbook since its launch in 1997, and has formed close working relationships with NICE and other key professional bodies.

With experience in both FMCG and prescription only healthcare markets, Hilary has a strong interest in how digital marketing can optimise multi-channel plans in the Pharmaceutical sector. Having spent 9 years in a variety of sales and marketing roles, her particular expertise lies in lifecycle management, strategic and tactical planning, channel mix, and international marketing, which she studied at post graduate level at Strathclyde Business school.

John Harrison John Harrison

With a background as a formulation chemist working for Shell Research in the early 1970's John entered the pharmaceutical industry in 1975 working as a medical representative for Reckitt & Colman where he later entered marketing. Subsequent moves to Boots the Chemist, Organon Laboratories and finally Roche Products Limited built experience in prescription pharmaceutical marketing in GP & hospital including injectable hospital antibiotics, cardiovascular disease, Parkinson’s and anti-viral influenza therapy areas.

As Marketing Excellence Manager John has worked over the last four years with a group of senior Roche marketers to introduce a Marketing Excellence programme embracing best practice and training and development. This includes a programme of eMarketing to respond to the increasing trend of patients healthcare professionals in self-informing on health and medical related matters through digital media.

 
Jon Clark - European Divisional Director Jon Clark

Jon joined Huntsworth Health in 2000 and has remained with the company since. He is very experienced at managing and delivering creative and digital healthcare communication solutions tailored specifically to the need of the brand and the environment.

She has a wealth of experience across the industry and is a regular on judging and speaking panels where she specializes in analysis and evaluating the effectiveness of integrated as well as digital campaigns. She also co-presents workshops on Creative Care – promoting consumer insight excellence.

Pharmaceutical experience was gained with AstraZeneca as Global eCommunications Manager, Organon and Schering-Plough as the Head of Multi-Channel Marketing and more recently GlaxoSmithKline as Digital Commerce Marketing Manager to deliver their integrated digital strategy, helping drive the business in a highly restricted and competitive environment.

Kathryn Bennett is Managing Director of TVF Communications – a Med Ed agency with an award-winning track record of innovative digital solutions. Kathryn has been in the industry for over 15 years and has vast experience of combining Med Ed and Digital Comms for the Pharma industry. She is passionate about digital e-communications and still amazed how reluctant pharma is to maximize use of this channel. Working in Medical Diagnostics she is proud that she first used a web site for lead generation & sales in 1996 and was an early customer of doctors.net utilizing e-details and e-medical education. And, however she uses e-comms today, the focus is on delivering business results and a sound return on investment.

With over 15 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Marco has built a solid track record in developing and implementing integrated international marketing programs, in brand positioning, and in strategic planning and execution. His current position is Associate Director Global Marketing and Strategic Development at Genzyme Corporation. He spearheads the global strategy and marketing initiatives in relation to a key growth product in Genzyme’s product portfolio for rare genetic diseases.

After winning the inaugural Digital Pioneer Award 2009, I decided to use my experience gathered in pharmaceutical sales and marketing to set up a new digital media agency called Sublime Digital. Sublime has been co-founded with digital design specialists and is born out of a passion for digital marketing in the pharmaceutical industry".

 
Matt Cohen Matt Cohen

Matt has worked in the pharma industry since 1995 after graduating in Zoology from Leeds University. During this time he has worked at Wyeth and Pfizer in various sales, training, sales management and primary and specialist care marketing roles.

Matt is currently the antibacterials franchise brand manager for Pfizer looking after Zyvox and Tygacil. Matt has a particular interest in maximizing marketing impact and reach via the use of digital media both on-line and those driven by the sales force.

He has over 18 years pharmaceutical marketing experience – both in the UK , the Far East & USA. Matt has held senior marketing positions - both on the Industry & Digital Agency side. In addition, Matt is a past winner of the prestigious Senior Marketeer of the Year Award. He has been an active member of the PM Society for the past 7 years.

He has 14 years agency experience and is a pioneer in digital communication, having launched the UK ’s first interactive tablet PC sales aid. Nick Rodger has worked in Pharmaceuticals / Healthcare Sales and Marketing for 12 years, the last two years concentrating on Strategic Marketing since joining Baxter Healthcare.

Nick has held a variety of positions in his career at five Pharma / Healthcare companies including; Medical Sales Representative, Product Management, Professional Relations, Sales and Marketing Management.

Nick has created a variety of E-Commerce projects during his marketing career, not only interactive E-Details but also, Virtual Debates, E-Market Research, KOL Education Programmes and E-motive questioning.

Nick currently works within the Anaesthesia and Critical Business (ACC) at Baxter Healthcare, where he heads the Marketing function. ACC is one of the newer businesses for Baxter Healthcare, however, delivers strong growth throughout the portfolio.

Paul has also worked as a consultant to both marketing services vendors and healthcare companies on building creative and compliant online marketing programmes integrated with their brand or therapy area objectives.

Paul has a B.A. Honours Degree in European Business Administration and the equivalent French Diplôme from l’ESC de Reims, a leading Grande Ecole in France.

Paul Tredwell is currently the Head of Biopharmaceuticals at Sandoz, responsible for sales and marketing capabilities and development of the Biopharmaceutical portfolio in the UK. In the last 15 years in the industry, Paul has launched 10 brands into the UK market in various roles from creation of salesforces as National Sales Manager to senior commercial and marketing roles. Most recently Paul’s interests are developing digital platforms which are integrated to the marketing campaign and programmes, to support brands in different stages of their lifecycle.

 
Pete West Pete West

Pete was one of the UK’s early pioneers of e-marketing in the pharma industry; launching a successful e-detail programme to support product launch whilst working at AstraZeneca in 2002.

He has gone on to become recognised as an innovator in this field and is a regular speaker on the international circuit on e-marketing and the use of social media.

Pete believes that the e-channel is key to developing “personalised selling” models in the future.

She has been in the industry for 18 years, and has expertise in communications for Pharma and biotech companies, medical education, sales force training, patient focused programmes and digital media. She has been Vice Chair of the PM Society for 2 years and a Committee member since 2007.

 
Ram Patel Ram Patel

Ram is Managing Director of Brainsell Ltd. He is an economist and chartered marketer with 18 years of marketing and market research experience, of which the last 14 have been in healthcare.

In 2001 he set up Brainsell Ltd, the healthcare market research agency that uses new technologies to develop appropriate marketing research methods to keep ahead of changes in marketing practice. Clients include pharmaceutical companies as well as the agencies that serve them.

 
Rob Harrison Rob Harrison

Rob is Head of Digital for Brandcast Media, a previous PM Society digital award winner, and is spearheading their growing digital capabilities, delivering enterprise level projects for the healthcare sector across Europe.

Previously, Rob co-founded LeapFrog Medical. LeapFrog became part of Adventis Health in 2006 where his talents were put to broader use as Group Head of Digital, supporting both the Health division and other businesses with the Adventis Group Plc.

Rob's particular interest is in building online communities to deliver real ROI for clients.

 
Sandy Royden Sandy Royden

Sandy originally qualified as a Pharmacist in 1990, and since then has had 20 years experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.

Sandy has spent the last 10 years focussing specifically on Healthcare Communications - both in house at sanofi and Novartis and more recently European CEO at Huntsworth Health.

Sandy has an active interest in integrated and multichannel communications, hence her interest in driving the success of the PM Society Digital Awards.

Sandy has recently been re-elected as Chairman of the PM Society.

 
Simon Lem Simon Lem

Simon Lem is Franchise Head for the Multiple Sclerosis Franchise at Novartis. He joined the pharmaceutical industry in 1997 and has sales, marketing and management experience gained at several pharmaceutical companies. During his 12 years in the industry he has been responsibility for commissioning, developing and implementing a variety of off-line and on-line digital and multimedia projects. These include digital media aimed at patients and healthcare professionals education, and digital media used for clinical benefit.

 
Terry Harrison Terry Harrison

Terry has 22 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry across a range of therapy areas in the UK. She has a great, broad experience of the industry that covers both in-house and agency, having worked as an Associate Director within Burson Marsteller Healthcare communications, in marketing for AstraZeneca as a Group Brand Manager and Sales Operations Manager, and in her time was also a sales person and sales manager. Terry is now the Head of Brand Communications at Napp Pharmaceuticals Limited.

Todd Stephens is the Global Marketing Director for Endocrinology at Merck Serono headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Todd has completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (microbiology/biochemistry), Bachelor of Laws in Queensland Australia and recently a Masters in Business Administration at Henley Business School. He worked in the pharmaceutical industry in a range of roles and countries, starting in sales as a representative and moving through various levels of marketing positions until reaching his current position today. Todd's passion and enthusiasm comes from working cross regionally from Asia Pacific, Latin America, Europe and the United States of America. His career passion lies in the strategies that converge modern technologies with device technologies in the healthcare system to help optimise treatment outcomes with simple solutions that meet the needs of the patient, practitioner and the healthcare system.

 
Victoria Wright Victoria Wright

Victoria has over 12 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She started her career at AstraZeneca in the Marketing Department and has also worked as a medical representative before moving into the agency world, where she has worked for both medical education and PR agencies. She has been responsible for both international and national strategic communication programmes for both pre-launch and post-launch products. Victoria has worked extensively in a wide range of therapeutic areas including Oncology, Haematology, Nephrology, Virology, Cardiology, Mental Health and Pain.

Victoria has been at Resolute Communications for 2.5 years and previously was Business Director at Hayward Medical Communications.
